Kozuki Momonosuke is very loyal and protective to the Straw Hats and his crew. This is shown when he and the rest of his crew follow Luffy and Chopper on their quest to find the Red-Haired Shanks. He also shows great concern for his crew mates and is willing to risk his life for them, such as when he spars with Soran and fully intends on fighting him to the death.
It was also shown that he was willing to sacrifice himself for Luffy and the crew, as he fought against Donquixote Doflamingo in order to protect them.
Kozuki Momonosuke is also very brave and willing to take on any threat, such as when he battled and survived his fight with Donquixote Doflamingo, and later when he battled and defeated Commander Aokiji.
Kozuki Momonosuke is also kind and has a soft spot for animals, even going as far as to name a huge fish "Hiro" after the same fish that saved him from drowning.
