Personality and Career
Yuri was born as a third child in a well-to-do family. When he was five years old, his father was assigned to an important position in Japan, and his mother decided to move there with her children. Yuri became very close to his mother and his younger sister, but he was never close to his elder brother. His father often told him terrible stories about his experiences during the war and Yuri believed that his father had suffered greatly. Yuri's mother died when he was only 15 years old, but he didn't come to terms with his grief until much later.
Yuri graduated at the top of his class at high school, but his father didn't want him to go to university and insisted on sending him to work at the family company's factory as soon as he graduated. Yuri was happy to work for the family business, but it wasn't for him, and he eventually quit in order to become an architect.
