Wakefield personality type is ENTP, as I’ve elaborated on before. A big part of what makes ENTPs tick is the feeling that they are special. A kind of “hyper-intellectual”, almost narcissistic way of thinking can make ENTPs feel like they are in the know and when challenged, they back track to try and make their point seem logical.
To someone who understands ENTPs, this can seem like a kind of arrogant attitude, but it’s actually more like a defense mechanism. If you are an ENTP, then you have an innate sense of being smart, and a sense of being able to make things work. This feeling of being special can be displayed in many ways, from being in an elite group, to not being tied down by the need to follow rules.
The fact is, many of the ENTPs I know, were very charismatic and popular. They were often the smartest kid in their class and at the top of their class.
But what happens when the gap between what you are and what you could be opens up? That kind of power can be intoxicating, but it can also be disorienting.
