X-Chara personality type is ISTP, but I’ve also described those who fit this type as “wryly cynical”, which is more descriptive of the ISTP rather than cynical in the full-blown sense.
ISTPs are exceptionally good at detail-oriented planning, logistics, and execution. They are excellent collaborators and problem solvers. They are skilled at finding strategies to get things done, and at identifying the best way to do things. They rarely have blind spots and can usually see through to the end goal. They are usually good at saying what they are going to do and getting it done, but they may forget about it.
ISTPs can be very good at noticing the right details and being efficient with them. They probably have a lot of experience with this. They are great at simple tasks and procedures, and they may be able to get what they need done in less time than a more extroverted type might.
They may have a tendency to be self-critical and can get caught up in a “what’s the point” or “I could have thought of a better solution” attitude.
