Bai Yu personality type is ENTP, if you look closely, there's some ENTP-ness to it, but not as much as I originally suspected. It's more like NTP, but with some ENTP-ness mixed in. I think this is because he's a smart kid and while he's not terribly extroverted, he's definitely not an introvert. It's just that he doesn't use ENTP-ness as a crutch.
But why doesn't he use it as a crutch? Well, he's been evolved to the point where he is on the threshold of becoming a full-fledged ESFJ. He's getting good enough at being an ESFJ that he's able to use his ENTP-ness to that end. In fact, I think the main reason he pulls back from using his ENTP-ness as a crutch is that he wants to be able to use it for his own purposes, not because of some innate type proclivity.
I had originally surmised that the reason for the long delay in his ability to become an ESFJ was due to the influence of his mother and the low activity of his father during his toddler years.
