What is the personality type of Charlemagne? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Charlemagne from Fategr& Order and what is the personality traits.
Charlemagne personality type is ENFJ, the Diplomatic Personality Type. It is primarily a result of the fact that in the early years of the Carolingian period the Empire was divided between the Papacy and the Holy Roman Empire (which included Germany), and thus was not ruled directly by Charlemagne, but rather by his younger brother, Louis.
Although the Empire was going through a political and military transformation, Charlemagne remained focused on his original desire to be an abbot and monk. He was extremely concerned with how his empire should be ruled and containing the power of the church. In this he was strongly influenced by Pope Leo III, who was in many ways the founder of the Holy Roman Empire, and Charlemagne helped Leo's reign by invading Italy to combat the Lombards, who were threatening to take over Rome.
Because Charlemagne was so concerned with the church and its power, he made himself known as a protector of the church and very helpful towards it. He had the church build an "abbey" at Aachen (modern day Germany) and made numerous donations to increase its power. He was also extremely generous towards other holy sites such as monasteries and churches.
