I was born into a family that was not financially stable. My parents were both college-educated, but they were not well-paid. My father looked after the finances, and my mom looked after me and my two sisters (a brother was born two years later). My parents were both very pro-social. They were very friendly, open people who would go out of their way to help others. They encouraged us to talk to people and to be outgoing, which is how I was raised.
My mother was a nurse, so she always wanted us to be healthy and happy. She also taught us that we should always be polite, and that there are no mistakes in life.
