Lori personality type is ENFJ, an extrovert in the extrovert/intuitive function quadra. I’m a little uncomfortable with the word introvert, because I’ve always thought of myself as someone who’s highly driven, who’s decisive, who’s very good at analyzing things. And to me, introvert has always been something negative. It’s like being an introvert is like being lame. But I have to admit that it does describe me. It does explain some of my patterns and my behaviors.
I am an introvert. It’s really not something that I’m very proud of. I think I grew up thinking that introverts were not social people. I kept hearing people say, “Oh my gosh, you’re so shy. That’s so weird. Why would you be shy?”
But I think introversion is another way of looking at the personality type system. Introversion is one of the six temperament preferences that we have in the MBTI system, along with extraversion, intuition, thinking, feeling, and judging.
