What is the personality type of Cryptozoology? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Cryptozoology from Fields Of Study and what is the personality traits.
Cryptozoology personality type is INTJ, while the "bigfoot is us" podcast is hosted by an INTP.
I'm also not really sure what to make of the last label, but I'll go with it.
How did you decide on all these labels?
I wanted to try out a bunch of different labels, since the book is divided into three sections. I did some research into Myers Briggs, and it turns out I'm outside of the normative distribution for each of the 16 personality types.
My initial strategy was to just go alphabetically, but I had a hard time coming up with a way to label the various interviewees besides just "INTP" or "HSP". I also thought it would be kind of fun if we made the podcast in various moods. So I went through and just designed all the faces for each type.
It's a bit silly, but I don't think it's any sillier than Myers-Briggs, so there you go.
Can you tell me more about your process for finding the interviewees?
The book is only a few months old, but so far I've only interviewed three people.
Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience and subculture that searches for and studies unknown, legendary, or extinct animals whose present existence is disputed or unsubstantiated, particularly those popular in folklore, such as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, Yeti, the chupacabra, the Jersey Devil, or the Mokele-mbembe. Cryptozoologists refer to these entities as cryptids, a term coined by the subculture. Because it does not follow the scientific method, cryptozoology is considered a pseudoscience by mainstream science: it is neither a branch of zoology nor folklore studies. It was originally founded in the 1950s by zoologists Bernard Heuvelmans and Ivan T. Sanderson.
