She's definitely a lot more mature than Saeko, and I just really felt like the character was stronger and more interesting because of it.Another thing I really liked about Kanna is that she's a lesbian, and this is the first lesbian character I've seen in an anime, so to have one who is as strong as Kanna is very cool.The reason I liked Kanna so much was because of her relationship with Saeko. In the beginning, they are rivals in love, but through the course of the series they really bond together. They both have their own strengths and weaknesses, but together they make a great team that can take on anything.
