Mai personality type is ISTP, which is the Introverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving type. According to my type theory, ISTPs are naturally more introverted than other types. My husband is ISTP and we’ve talked about it a lot and I’ve realized that we’re very different than other ISTP couples we know. We’re more reserved, more quiet, less outgoing, less talkative, less social. This isn’t to say that we don’t have our moments, but overall, we are just different.
The thing that I really enjoyed about being married to an ISTP was that I didn’t have to be the one to initiate conversation. I was comfortable in my own shoes. I didn’t feel like I had to constantly be the one initiating conversation.
Before marriage, I wasn’t the type of person who could just sit back and let things happen. I was always the person who would be the one to go out of her way to make things happen, whether it be to fix the toilet, fix the sink, help with dinner, cook dinner, clean up after dinner, or something else.
