Charon is a spiritfarer who had been ferrying Spirits to the Everdoor, prior to Stella inheriting the role. Charon is a giant cloaked spirit, with an obscured face and skinny, grey hands, with very long and sharp nails. He wields a wooden staff that contains an Everlight. Charon was a spiritfarer. Not much is known about him, other than Francis describing him as cold, and that he used to keep everything he found to himself. In the beginning of Stella's journey, she awakens on a canoe with Daffodil and meets Charon, who, in a very regal, though amicable way, introduces Stella to her new task as a Spiritfarer, since his time is up and he wouldn't be able to continue his job. Charon's spirit gives Stella his Everlight, then passes through the Everdoor, his spirit now being set free. Nothing is known about Charon's life before becoming a spiritfarer.
