My take on this situation is that she's doing it to get attention and praise from others. I think (hope) that she will eventually just admit what she's done and stop trying to pull this stunt. I think that she's been lying on her resume, and that she's not really a boy.
I also do not know whether she will be fired from her job as a teacher if she's found out that she lied about being a boy.
