Chartette Langley personality type is ENFP, which is why I often refer to him as an ENFPf.
In the Enneagram, we use the letters N and F to indicate different functions. N stands for the dominant function and F stands for the auxiliary function. The dominant function is based in the needs of the ego and is the function that the other nine personality types are most aware of.
The auxiliary function is often a very subtle function that causes us to be creative and innovative. When a person has an auxiliary function they often act like they have two personalities. They can seem to alternate between the two very quickly.
As an ENFP, I often feel like I have a dominant Introverted Extroverted (NiFe) side and a dominant Extroverted Intuitive (NeTi) side. I can be incredibly extroverted in social situations and not at all introverted when working on projects or reading a book.
This side to me is especially difficult to talk about. I don’t like talking about my NiFe side because it sounds so self-centered and narcissistic. However, I can’t deny that this is a part of me.
