She says that this is also why people who don't identify as ISTP often have a hard time understanding or relating to ISTPs.
"I think one of the most common things I hear ISTPs talk about is that they are misunderstood, and I think that ISFPs [the second most common personality type] are misunderstood the most," Kiernan says.
