It’s easy to see why. Nagisa is the type of character who enjoys being loved by people. She loves people, and it is in her nature to seek out people who are loved. She also seems to have a strong desire for being loved in return.
Her love of being loved does have its limits, however. She doesn’t want to be loved by just anyone, and when she is forced into a relationship with her brother, she loses all ability to love.
This is most clearly seen in episode four of the anime. When she is forced to make a choice between the two brothers, she goes with the one who loves her. But this choice is not made freely. She has no choice but to choose between them, since one is the boy she loves and the other is the boy who loves her. This is not love at all. How can someone who has no choice but to choose between two people truly love someone?
