"Akako" (紅子) is the antagonist of Akako-chan is Not My Friend. She is a mysterious girl who suddenly appeared in Haru's room one morning, claiming to be his roommate. Seemingly invisible to others, she follows him around both at home and at school, and enjoys mocking and inconveniencing him in various ways.
As the story progresses, her teasing becomes much more vicious, and she becomes physically violent towards him, as well as making threats towards his life on multiple occasions. Eerily, she seems incredibly good at pinpointing Haru's weaknesses and exposing them through her insults.
Trivia:
- For an unknown reason, she dresses in a full school uniform that is different from the one worn at Haru's high school. The only way of distinguishing her from a normal schoolgirl is her pink slippers.
- Although she tends to hide behind a human form, she is capable of transforming, and has done so multiple times in order to terrorize Haru.
