After high school, he attended the University of Central Florida, where he studied computer engineering. But he dropped out before finishing the program. And it wasn't long after that that he was attending the DefCon security conference, where he met Peter Wang, who would go on to become his best friend.

Once the zombie apocalypse started, he helped out a client of his which he was servicing when it started. From that point onwards, he protected him and everyone else that joined his team.
