Toru Natsukawa (夏川 徹) is a secondary character in Akako-chan is Not My Friend. He is a third-year high school student and the president of the tea ceremony club, as well as a member of the student council. His easygoing, almost prince-like persona draws others towards him, though he seems to keep a considerable amount of emotional distance.
In actuality, much of this persona is a facade. From a young age, he witnessed his father physically abuse his mother, before walking out on the family entirely when Toru was 12. With his mother now struggling to support them & his little sisters distraught about the loss of their father, he made a vow to shield others from everything bad in the world. When he lets his guard down and admits this to Haru, he seems helpless and terrified, doubting his own abilities to a much greater extent.
