Miguel O'Brien personality type is ISTP, or the Rational, Intuitive, Sensing, Thinking. ISTPs are the most likely of all personality types to be fascinated with science, and the least likely to be interested in philosophy or abstract ideas. The ISTP is instinctual, practical and results-driven. The ISTP is most comfortable with facts; an ISTP can be even known to be a bit of a "stub" with detail at times. The ISTP is not an abstract thinker, though; ISTPs are more interested in the tangible and the most important parts of life. ISTPs are also not very interested in the human condition. While ISTPs value practical over emotional content, they often find it hard to fit into philosophy, social sciences and humanities courses. While they may not be interested in philosophy at all, the ISTP may still want to study philosophy simply because they enjoy it.
