Leofred spent his days alone in his mother's lab, and the fact that he was the youngest of three older brothers did not help him socialize with the other children in his town. His mother made sure that he studied hard, and in addition to learning what he could from his mother's scientific books, he also spent a great deal of time reading the scientific papers in the public library.
As he grew older, Leofred was often shuttled between his mother's lab and his brothers' homes, until the day when he was old enough to live on his own. He moved into a small townhouse on the outskirts of town, bought a computer, and started programming. While he was not as gifted as his mother or his older brothers had been, he quickly became proficient at programming, and his skills eventually caught the attention of a corporation that specialized in helping people with their computers.
