ERiS personality type is ESFP, which makes sense because my partner is an ENFP and I think that those two types would make for a good match. It is the "shiny happy people" that I have been polyamorous with. For me, polyamory is about exploring the different avenues of love and intimacy, seeing what works for me and having fun with it. I think that is also true for my partner, who also has a lot of experience with polyamory.
So, although I am not sure that you can generalize about polyamorous relationships, there are a few things that I think are common to them. One is that there is definitely a strong emphasis on communication and negotiation between partners. There is no one approach that I have seen work for all polyamorous people, but there are definitely some things that are common:
1. Make sure you are well-informed about your options. If you want to be polyamorous, there are a lot of different things to consider, from the ethics of cheating to the legality of having more than one marriage.
