I don't know what he would've been like if he'd been able to grow up with the kind of family that would've been expected for him. I mean, his mother works as a waitress and his father probably would've been a car salesman up until the end of time. I can't imagine him going to college, or going to a four year university, or finding a high-paying job, or finding a girlfriend. That's too much pressure on a kid.
And I'm sure he wouldn't have been a fan of the guy who was supposed to be his father. He would've been ashamed of him and would've seen him as a disappointment.
I can't really imagine him as anything other than an awkward, lonely, defensive child.
And I understand that he was taken in by the general attitude of the culture as well as general attitudes towards people that are different from the majority. He probably never felt like he belonged and never felt like he could be himself.
