Ok, well I'm not sure where this is going, but I'd appreciate it if you'd keep the personal attacks out of the discussion.
Chaserian I don't think Hiccup would be quite so strong without Valka around. I think they're both very strong characters. But Hiccup would be more likely to believe in himself with Valka around. They make a good couple.
Valka is the one who gave Hiccup his attitude. She made him a hero when he was a little boy and the most fearful of dragons. She helped him forgive himself for his past mistakes and taught him to not be afraid of his father's legacy.
