What about sexual orientation?
This is another can of worms. Although many people believe that the ‘sexual orientation’ of an INFJ is different from that of an INTP or INFP, it’s actually quite similar. As INFJs tend to be more sexually repressed than INTPs, it’s rare to find INFJ’s who self-identify as being homosexual. In fact, in my experience, I’ve only found one.
Asexuality in the INFJ
So, if an INFJ doesn’t self-identify as being asexual, what is it that makes them asexual? There are a few possible explanations:
Inferiority complex – INFJs often have a difficult time facing their own lack of sexuality. They may feel that they are too ugly, or too ugly to be attractive to others, which is why they have a hard time identifying as homosexual. Conversely, they may feel that they are too attractive, and make themselves more available to others in order to attract ‘normal’ people.
