Seryoga Yakovlev personality type is ESFP, and that is what I am. The charcteristics that are most important for me are: being open-minded, being curious, and being adventurous. This is also what most people who know me know about me. I am very curious. I like to try new things and to move around a lot. This is where I get my "adventure" from.
How did you become interested in typology and personality type?
I was at a seminar in 1996 and got really interested in it. I wanted to be able to understand other people better, and I wanted to communicate better with other people.
It was a workshop by Dr. Valerie Porch and her husband, David Grove, and I learned a lot about the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). I took the test and came up with the type of ESFP that I am. They also gave us a book of Jungian personality theory by Marie-Louise von Franz. In this book there were descriptions of types in mythological stories and I started reading these descriptions very closely.
