George personality type is ISTJ, and the woman who inspired the Kinsey profile is the only ISTJ I know. We’ve been married for almost forty years.
She is a wonderful woman; if you’re an ISTJ type, you’re probably not married to her, because she’s more of a leader than a follower. She has been an administrator for two different corporations, one of which was a Fortune 500 company. She’s an excellent planner and does things with a very thorough, methodical approach. She has a good head for numbers, and this is pretty much her only skill, since her career has been in finance and accounting.
My wife also has a very strong sense of privacy, so she doesn’t like to discuss personal things with people. She’s much more reserved than I am; she doesn’t have the same amount of social graces that I have. But she’s a great listener, and knows how to use the information that she gets from others to help them out.
