Sentinels personality type is ISTP, the “Innate Stabilizers” type. The ISTP personality type is generally defined as a “Perceiver” personality type. “Perceivers” are people who tend to see and perceive things for themselves. They are very good at seeing and taking in information, but this doesn’t mean that they are always right. Perceiving types can be very good at solving problems and coming up with solutions, but they can also be very stubborn and set in their ways. Introverts often find themselves being perceived as stubborn or intelligent. This can lead to the ISTP being seen as arrogant by other people, or as someone who doesn’t understand what others are feeling or thinking.
In a Sentinels social world, this is not necessarily a bad thing. For example, I don’t think that anyone would be surprised to hear that I am an ISTP, as my personality tends to be very introverted with a unique ability to make connections between things that people might not have noticed. However, I have definitely experienced some of the problems that I’m about to describe in the past.
The Sentinels are a fictional variety of mutant-hunting robots appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are typically depicted as antagonists to the X-Men. The Sentinels played a large role in the 1990s X-Men animated series and have been featured in several X-Men video games.
