I agree it is an interesting concept, and one that I have been tempted to do myself. However the difference between introversion and extroversion is not just about sleep patterns. It is also about energy and activity levels etc.
I see people like Keanu Reeves or John Cusack who are obviously extroverts, but are also very quiet, whereas others like Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp are obviously extroverts, but also quite noisy.
The introvert/extrovert dichotomy is not just about physical energy levels, but also emotional energy.
All of the above guys on the list I mentioned are emotional extroverts, whereas the guys on the introvert list I mentioned (Joe Pesci, Matthew McConaughey etc.) are emotional introverts.
It is also important to note that introversion and extroversion have nothing to do with being able to talk in public or being generally shy.
