The ENFJ personality type is rare. It is rarer than Extraverted Feeling types. It is rarer than Introverted Feeling types. It is rarer than the 16 types in the Myers-Briggs four-letter personality index (Molders, et al., 2015).
Given the scarcity of the ENFJ personality type, it is not surprising that accurate predictions about it are difficult.
As to why ENFJs are rare, there are entire books written about that question (e.g., Brown, 2012; Margulis, et al., 2018). So I will focus on just one aspect of that question: Why is the ENFJ personality type so rare?
The answer seems to be to do with gender. The male to female ratio of ENFJs is about 9:1. The male to female ratio of Sensing types is about 4:1. The male to female ratio of Feeling types is about 3:1. The male to female ratio of iNtuitive types is about 7:1.
