"I was born to be on stage," he says. "My dad was in a rock band, and I grew up with music all around me. So I decided to be in a band. I just always loved being in front of people."
Vinnie's first band was called The Great White Heat, and that's where he met Mark. Vinnie and Mark both joined the band at the same time and began writing songs together.
And then tragedy struck. Vinnie's dog, Luna, died within a month of joining the band.
"She was my best friend," Vinnie says. "I loved her more than anything in the world."
Before long, Vinnie and Mark were writing their own songs together.
