The main issue with using the MBTI to understand personality is that it does not take into account all of the information that is available about each personality type. This is because the MBTI was created to help people who have a long-term interest in understanding the human condition. The Myers-Briggs test is interesting and useful, but it is definitely not the final word on understanding personality.
