Gilly personality type is ISTJ, and I’m an ISTJ to a T. I’m no expert on the Gilly personality type, or even the ISTJ personality type, but I’ve always said that ISTJs are like trees. They grow tall and straight and sturdy, and they do not bend; they do not move. They do not even sway. They keep their roots deep down in the soil and do not stray from their purpose – be it the soul purpose of the tree, or the personal purpose of the person growing the tree.
I am no tree. I know this from the start. I’m a wannabe. I never wanted to be one. And yet I am one.
I started writing when I was in high school and I wrote for fun, for joy, for the love of language and story and creation. I wrote for a few years after high school, and then, when I was 23, I began to write professionally – writing articles and poetry and essays and short stories.
Two years after that, my first novel was published.
