He was always focused on his work. He did not like to mess around. He was very goal-oriented. I think that made him very competitive. He was very independent and strong-willed. He liked to be in control of his life.

What do you remember about your husband growing up?
I remember him as a very competitive kid; he was into sports, and he was always the one that was winning or doing well. I don't really remember him being very close to anyone as a child; he was kind of an outcast.
