Malthus personality type is ISTJ, because he is concerned about the future and its fate. He fears that the world will end in a disaster. He likes to create structures and systems to prevent disasters. The first step of Malthus’s system was to make people aware of the threat posed by overpopulation. He created a theory of population growth, which came to be known as Malthusianism. He believed that population growth was at the root of all social ills. Malthus argued that when the food supply is fixed, or there is some natural limit on the number of people who can be supported, a social crisis will inevitably occur. Society will become disorderly and in short order, death and destruction will strike. Malthus’s basic argument is that the population of a country grows exponentially because of “the power of the soil,” which can support more people than it can actually contain. If there is an increase in the number of people fed by the land, then more people will be born. This makes the number of people living on the land increase exponentially. The supply of food will not be able to meet the demand for it, leading to famine and starvation.
