What is the difference between an introvert and an extrovert? And how do these two personality types differ when it comes to leadership and career?
First things first: we don’t want to confuse you. There are two basic personality types that are often referred to as introverts or extroverts (sometimes “introvert-extrovert” or “extrovert-introvert”).
Introversion and extroversion are not the same thing. They are different ways of interacting with the world. Introverts prefer to be alone, while extroverts enjoy being with other people. Introverts are not necessarily shy; they simply prefer to have their private time and space to themselves. Extroverts, on the other hand, enjoy socializing and being around others.
Introversion is not a disorder and is not a mental illness. Instead, it’s a difference in personality that is based on introverted or extroverted preferences.
