xsriel (online persona!) personality type is ESFJ, but as a child I was ENFJ/INTP. I had no idea what I was, and could not imagine having an INTP personality type. At age 12 I finally learned that I was INFP, and my life changed completely.
I learned a lot about myself, and I had a lot of angst about this. I felt like the world did not make sense to me anymore, and I could not understand how people could be so different from me. My parents were not very understanding, they did not understand why I could not get along with other people. They did not understand why I did not fit in.
I ended up in a very toxic environment, where I usually felt like an outsider. I still felt different, but didn't know about the INFP personality type. When I finally learned about it, I felt so relieved to have solved all my problems. I felt like the world made sense again, that everyone was the same as me and that everyone loved me for who I was.
Until I got older, I used to have these feelings of depression, and anxiety, because my parents did not understand me.
