Marnie personality type is ENFP, which I found out about through a page called Famous ENFPs. I had never known the name for the personality type, so it was interesting to learn about it. The modern MBTI assessment did not have a category for this type, but the assessment of Jungian personality types did. This post is about that. The previous post on personality type is called What Kind of Person Am I and gives a brief description of the personality type.
Complexity
MBTI does not attempt to describe complex personality types using the system of four dichotomies, even though there are more complex types in Jungian theory. MBTI muddies the waters by combining two or more dichotomies into one complex type. Sometimes two dichotomies are combined to form one complex type (e.g., Ethical-Conventional is combined with Emotionally-Expressive), but other times one complex type is formed from two dichotomies (e.g., Leading-Performer is formed from Extravert and Seeker). I do not think the MBTI should have complicated complex types, especially when they are not very useful for understanding how to relate to other people.
