The Boys Next Door were an Australian post-punk band, active from 1978 to 1980. The group (Nick Cave, Rowland S. Howard, Mick Harvey, Tracy Pew and Phil Calvert) contributed to the 'Lethal Weapons' album by Suicide Records with 'These Boots are made for Walking', 'Boy Hero' and 'Masturbation Generation' in 1978. They released only one studio album, "Door, Door" in 1979, with a single called 'Shivers', then moved London in 1980, changing their name to The Birthday Party and launching into a period of innovative and aggressive music-making.
