Cotton Candy personality type is INFP, so I agree with you on your assessment of their use of humor, but I also think it's a lot more complicated. Most INFP's are introverted and intuitive, so they don't think they're funny. But being introverted and intuitive means they're not socially adept and they don't have the ability to make people laugh. That's what ENFP's and ISTJ's do, they make people laugh. But that's not what INFP's do.
INFP's tend to be more intelligent and more serious than most people think. Don't get me wrong, they are fun to be around and their humor is genuine, but it's not like the kind of humor that makes you laugh out loud, it's more like the kind of humor that makes you smile, or makes you feel warm inside, or makes you want to cry or feel some other kind of strong emotion. INFP's don't make people laugh like ENFP's and ISTJ's do.
