Josie is the late mother to the protagonist, Dominic, of my novel "Omega." She was known for her care-free and compassionate nature. She was a source of comfort to all around her. Despite her calming nature, Josie was still a headstrong and independent woman. She loved nature and travelling, always looking for a new adventure. She was incredibly individualistic and let no one strip her identity from her. She viewed her negative emotions as a burden, and had a tendency to drown them out with new experiences. Josie had a lot of hidden mental issues, but confided in no one to prevent them from worrying. Instead, she vowed to allow others to lean on her. She hid her pain from others, and was left carrying the emotional weight of herself and others. Selfless, confident, and optimistic, Josie was a great mother. To remember his mother, Dominic tried to possess the same self-confidence Josie once had.
