What’s the best part about being an Editor?
The best part about being an Editor is getting to work with people who truly want to be creative. We all have creative skills, but we all have a different way of expressing them. So it’s not easy for us to get over the hurdles that we feel suddenly pop up in our way of expressing ourselves creatively. Editors are meant to be helpers in the creative process, so being an Editor really means being someone who supports other people in their creative process. And that’s why Editors are also called as do-gooders and helpers in general.
How did your interest in editing begin?
I started out as a writer, and my first book was successfully published by a publishing house in 1993. But I realized that I had limitations as a writer. I was a good writer, but some of my friends felt that I wasn’t up to their level of writing, so they encouraged me to become an Editor. That was the beginning of my career as an Editor.
Do you edit for a specific audience?
An earth bender with the power of super strength. Behind his tough exterior lies a history of insecurity. He was expelled from his old school for fighting with another student. But he transfers to Zephyr Academy and makes friends with Paruma and the gang.
He is often cool and collected, but he rarely lets his emotions show. He wants everyone to see him as strong and intimidating. He had a rough time growing up as a trans man and he thinks he always needs to “prove” his masculinity to others.
