Fade personality type is INFJ, which means I am a very emotional person. I’ve always been an emotional person and I’m sure that if you’ve had a chance to get to know me well, you’ve probably noticed that.
What’s interesting is that I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about how emotion fits into life as an INFJ. In fact, I recently sat down with a friend of mine who is a fellow INFJ. We were discussing how to live life as an INFJ and how we can best use our emotions in our relationships.
I asked her what she thought about the whole idea of “emotional regulation” and “emotional management” and she was quick to point out that “it’s not just about being able to manage your emotions, it’s about having them.” The fact that she said this to me was the first time I realized that emotion is something that I’ve not been focusing on in my life, but I think it’s something that most INFJs struggle with.
The fact that people are so focused on managing their emotions is actually kind of disturbing to me.
