Arjang Kamkar (Persian: ارژنگ کامکار, born August 23, 1965 in Sanandaj) is an Iranian tonbak player, painter and a member of the Kamkar group. From childhood, he was interested in the painting and playing Tonbak. At the time of formation of the Kamkars, Arjang Kamkar accompanied the Sanandaj Culture and Art Orchestra as a Tonbak player. He left Tehran in 1976 for an addition to taking music lessons, completed and learned drumming techniques, then studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. Arjang held a painting exhibition in 1991 and 1997. In addition to educational activities, he performed several concerts with Sheida and Aref groups. He is currently teaching drumming at the Kamkar School. On February 26, 2017, in the celebration of the nineteenth anniversary of the establishment of the Iranian Music House, "Arjang Kamkar" was honored with a plaque and a statue of the Music House.
