Arsalan Kamkar (Persian: ارسلان کامکار, born January 23, 1980 in Sanandaj) is an Iranian barbat player, violinist and composer and a member of the Kamkar group.
Arsalan Kamkar was born on December 2, 1980 in Sanandaj. He learned the basics of music from his father, Hassan Kamkar. As a child, he performed in Sanandaj with various groups led by his father. Arsalan Kamkar traveled to Tehran after a while and continued to study music at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. After completing music lessons, he began his collaboration with the Tehran Symphony Orchestra as a violinist. He is currently a member of this group and the master of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. He is also the conductor of the Kurdistan Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2013, he was awarded a first degree in art. His students include Maryam Ebrahimpour, Sina Jahanabadi, Roozbeh Bakhtiari and Golriz Zarbakhsh.
