Pashang Kamkar (Persian: پشنگ کامکار, December 21, 1961, Sanandaj),is a Santour player, and member of the Kamkar group and one of the founders of the Sheida group.
He started learning music at the age of 10 with a santur, from his older brother Houshang Kamkar. He learned "Radif" of Master Abolhassan Saba from his father, Hassan Kamkar, in 1966 he began teaching at the Sanandaj Culture and Art Center. He gave concerts in different cities of Kurdistan and Ramsar camps while teaching. He collaborated with Radio Sanandaj for 5 years and after completing his military service, he immigrated to Tehran and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Tehran.
In 2002, his works were examined by the Artists' Evaluation Council and he was awarded a first-class artistic degree (equivalent to a doctorate). His other activities includes teaching at the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Azad University and being a member of the jury of the Karaj Faculty of Music and teaching santur playi
