Dwayne personality type is INFP, described as a:
“Intuitive, creative, and idealistic.”
This type of personality may, at first glance, seem to be quite a welcome change from the more “ego-inclined” ESTJ personalities, but I would argue that ESTJs are in fact optimally equipped to manage the development of INFPs in their lives.
We know from my article on the ESTJ’s natural leadership style that ESTJ’s are not only “natural leaders”, but they are also very capable of being naturally supportive of other people.
This helps to explain why it can often seem as if ESTJs are trying to push the INFP into a more “ego-inclined” role, when really they are trying to help them become more capable and effective in that role.
For example, if an ESTJ parent is trying to encourage his or her child to pursue a particular career path, he or she is not necessarily doing it purely out of ego-driven need to be the “boss”.
