What is the personality type of John Conklin? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for John Conklin from The Summer I Turned Pretty and what is the personality traits.
John Conklin personality type is INFP, and the only thing I do know about him is that he's a self-hating gay man who only has eyes for his best friend. He's a bit of a mess, but his story is interesting in and of itself. This novel is also an anthology of four short stories, two of which were published previously in different anthologies. I didn't read the former stories, so I can't comment on how they compare to these.
"The Joke" is the first short story in this collection and introduces the reader to Jeff, the protagonist. Jeff is an uptight, stereotypical INFP whose only real hobby is organizing his sock drawer. He's awkward and kind of boring. He has a crush on his best friend, Ben, who he thinks is "so freaking hot." The story's about his friend Ben, who loves to prank call people, who doesn't mind this fact at all, because Ben thinks it's hilarious. Ben calls Jeff's mother and tells her that Jeff has died in a car crash, and that she should go to the funeral. Jeff thinks this is hilarious and decides to make a joke about it with Ben later that night.
