ENTJ and INTP personalities are very similar when it comes to their dominant function. They both use Ne for their dominant function. However, I think ENTJ's use Ne more than INTP's do... I'm not sure if I got that from my friend, or if it was just my intuition. ENTJ's seem to use Ne for their dominant function much more than INTP's do.
ENTJ vs INTP also seems to come down to how they use their auxiliary function. NE is a thinking function, while Ti is a feeling function. ENTJ's seem to use their thinking function more than INTP's do.
