    How Narcotisation works

Narcotic abuse works by causing the brain to release chemicals called neurotransmitters, which create feelings of pleasure that cause people to want more. The brain has a natural balance of these neurotransmitters and by taking the drug the brain becomes addicted to it, the amount of neurotransmitters released is then reduced and the addict requires more and more to get the same level of satisfaction, this is called tolerance.

As the brain becomes used to the drug the addict needs more and more of the drug to get the same effect. This can lead to a very bad physical state and addiction.
